More and more we are being asked to quote for full and half day rates for all our vehicles. This can be the easiest and cheapest way to get your goods from you to your customers. Owning your own vehicle may look cheaper in the short term but in the long term having to pay lease/purchase costs, maintenance, wages, national insurance, tax, insurance, fuel, pensions contributions etc the costs can substantially out way the price for using one of our vehicles. Furthermore, we already have 4 vehicles on long term contracts being used every day which are in the colours of the companies they work for and drivers are in their uniforms giving the impression that they work for the companies who we supply.

Warehousing Many manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers and distributors  no longer require expensive warehousing or require additional facilities during peak periods. We now offer storage for 1 pallet up to 4,000 pallets meaning we can handle all our client’s demands. Our premises are secure, alarmed and sits on a secured site with manned gates outside office hours to enhance security. The warehouse is open between 7am and 7pm for deliveries and collections, however we can operate a 24 hours a day subject to prior agreement.

Picking and Packing With the increase in on line shopping as well as off-site storage we have seen an increase in the demand for picking and packing. We will then pick the order from their stock stored in our facility, pack it and then despatch the goods via our overnight courier network.   Outsourcing order fulfilment us brings real cost savings to a sales based company who do not have to take on premises and staff. Charges are based on space used for storage as well as activity, saving the fixed costs normally associated with these operations. Our staff have the capability to cope with seasonal changes to your business as well.

Customer Survey Update We are very please to confirm that Gavin who won the free drawer for completing our last customer satisfaction survey has now received his case of wine. Furthermore, although the results from the survey were excellent a couple of comments were made which we have now acted on and have been satisfactorily rectified. Customer satisfaction is very important to us at Rap-Ex Couriers and forms an important part of our ISO 9001 accreditation for quality assurance which we have held for the last five years. Being ISO 9001 accredited means that when you instruct Rap-Ex Couriers you can be assured that the standard of our work is consistently high, our drivers are monitored and all the relevant paperwork will be supplied at all times. We will also keep you informed of the progress of your delivery from start to finish. By working to this standard has meant that we maintain a high level of customer retention and our clients are our best advert. The next survey will be sent out in August. Three months in: Since we started offering our end of the month service for accountants and our clients the amount of interest has increased dramatically .

However, this month we had one or two enquiries which were just too late to be included on the run and had to pay our usual price for the delivery.

Therefore, we have had to include a cut off date for this month. The usual run will take place on Friday 31st 2013, however we need to collect all files on Thursday 30th May and we would appreciate your instruction as early as possible. We realise that most of these are urgent hence having them couriered to Companies House but if you could register an interest we can make sure there will be space on the van for you.

Charges

For 1 – 6 files the charges are £15.00 per file plus VAT

For over 6 files the charges are £100 plus VAT

** Customer Satisfaction Survey – ISO 9001

Our first on line survey was sent out last month with fantastic results. We received a customer satisfaction rating of 9.8 out of 10 and 100% of our clients confirmed they would be happy to recommend Rap-Ex Couriers Ltd to their clients and connections.
